According to a report on Michigan family-owned businesses published by Crain’s Detroit Business, United Shore recorded the largest year-over-year revenue increase among companies on the list with a 68 percent increase in revenue from 2015 to 2016.
United Shore’s primary business division, United Wholesale Mortgage, set an all-time company record for loan volume in 2016, surpassing $23 billion in loan production.
Overall, United Shore was the 21st largest family-owned business in Michigan in 2016 with a revenue of $857 million. The mega grocery chain Meijer, Inc. topped the list with a 2016 revenue of $17.9 billion.
